Sound Healing (Therapy) with Tibetan Singing Bowls (EN)Sound healing therapy is an ancient practice originating in Tibetan and Himalayan cultures. Sound healers use Tibetan singing bowls, metal bowls that were once used in spiritual and healing ceremonies conducted by monks in Nepal and Tibet. Sound Healing is a powerful therapy that combines different healing sounds, chanting and sound healing instruments to improve our multidimensional well-being. It works by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Its slow down your breath rate, your heart rate and even your brainwaves, putting you into an almost trance-like-state Another benefits of Sound Therapy: Help to support those suffering from depression. These are in fact high energy vibrations, which can help to lift the listener's state of vitality. When we relax with the sounds of Tibetan bowls or the gong, our concentration improves and our emotional tensions and blockages are relieved. The sound with these vibrations can ease mental or emotional pain (low self-esteem, worries, fear, anger, anxiety, depression, insomnia and addictions). Improved sleep, less chronic pain and blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and a lower risk of heart disease After a sound healing session, most people have a feeling of peace, harmony and well-being; they feel present, centered, and in-tune. While there’s limited research on brain entrainment itself, there are a few studies that position sound healing as a promising alternative to traditional medication. At the foremost of the list of purported benefits is a lessening of anxiety and stress and mood improvement. A 2016 study conducted by the University of California San Diego has shown singing bowl meditations to do just that. Following the sound meditation, the participant group (N=62) reported significant reductions in tension, anger, and an improvement in mood. A meta-analysis of fourteen studies also generally showed a significant decrease in depression in older adults living with chronic disease after listening to music, playing an instrument, singing, or any combination of them. Given the mind-body connection, it might not come as a surprise that sound healing also helps manage the physiological symptoms of certain diseases, such as the pain that frequently manifests in fibromyalgia. There are also some studies proving that sound therapy can help with Autism. The University of Toronto conducted a small study in which 19 female participants were administered sessions of low-frequency sound stimulation twice a week. Over five weeks, the group reported significant pain reduction. These results were corroborated by 74% of participants significantly reducing their pain medication with one-fourth of the group discontinuing it altogether.

Reiki (EN)Reki in Person or at a Distance Schedule your Reiki Session with Carolina *In person: Reiki or Reiki+Sound Healing *In a distance: Reiki Reiki is a method of stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The technique was developed in Japan and is administered by the laying on of hands. It is based on the idea that all living things have a special energy flowing through them called life energy. Reiki is a Japanese word that comes from two words - Rei and ki. When these words are used together for the practice of healing, the word Rei means universal spirit, Higher Power or God. The word ki refers to the life energy that flows through all living things. Therefore, Reiki means life energy that is guided by God. Some also feel this is just another way of saying the Holy Spirit. A Reiki treatment is a way of increasing your life energy. A practitioner will transmit Reiki to the client through the hands. The hands are lightly placed on or near the body in various positions around the head, shoulders, stomach, feet, etc. We can also send Reiki from a distance, which is already proven that energy has no limit in time and space. A treatment can feel like a warm glowing radiance that flows through the body. It is a very relaxing experience and some clients report the body feeling heavy as it relaxes and yet the spirit or emotions feeling light at the same time. A treatment will usually release negative feelings or thoughts leaving the client feeling more positive, light hearted and with feelings of well-being. Healing often takes place and people have reported recovery from minor things like headache, stomachache, bee stings etc., but also major illnesses have been affected with some people recovering from heart disease, cancer, leukemia etc. While almost everyone experiences relaxation and improvements of various kinds, healing results cannot be guaranteed. It is recommended that if one has an illness or other medical or psychological condition that in addition to getting Reiki treatments, clients also consult a licensed physician or other licensed health care professional as Reiki works well in conjunction with all medical or psychological care.

Hipinose (Hypnotherapy) | Reprogramação Neuro Dimensional (PT/BR)The sessions are only available in Portuguese for now. Carolina is working on this project to offer Hypnosis in English soon! Stay tuned!

Philosophy Clinic (EN)*Therapeutic services available (in person or online) *Free 30-minute video call for an initial conversation, from then on, we will define together which tools we will use together with Clinical Philosophy. (Reiki, Sound Healing, Hypnosis, Yoga or Dance Techniques, Feminine Empowerment or EFT) Carolina became a Clinical Philosopher in 2016. Her teacher was Marta Klaus, the same one who graduated in RND (Neuro Dimensional Reprogramming - Hypnosis). Marta had diverse therapeutic training and always advised students to continue studying. Klaus talked (unfortunately she passed away a few years ago): "Each human being who wants to undergo therapy needs different tools to be helped, so have enough information to help them as much as possible"; which Carolina, as a dedicated student, has been doing ever since. When living in Brazil, Carol had the pleasure of participating in different Clinical Philosophy Congresses. She learned a lot from different clinical philosophers and especially from the lectures given by the creator of this therapy, Lúcio Packter. This way, I understood how special this therapeutic method is, as well as the creator, great Human Being! In 2017 Carolina moved to the USA, where she still lives today. She had just become Clinical Philosophy and discovered that here in the USA no one knows about this therapy, so she started using the principles of Clinical Philosophy in her dance and yoga classes, recognizing each individual as unique, trying to strip away everything and any judgment and focusing on the existential improvement of each student. In Brazil, the term Clinical Philosophy is directly related to a methodology developed by the Gaucho philosopher Lúcio Packter in the mid-1990s. In the 1980s, Packter moved to Europe and there came into contact with a therapy that used a philosophy as a basis. Interested in this idea, he decided to bring it to Brazil and systematize the practice, which became known as Clinical Philosophy. Distanced from concepts such as normality and illness, Clinical Philosophy uses philosophical knowledge from many centuries to provide an existential improvement to the patient. Packter, who is the founder of the institute that trains professionals in this area, explains how the method works and explains that the procedure to be followed can be completely different for each person. According to Gilberto Sendtko, "Clinical Philosophy is a philosophical methodology for developing highly personalized therapeutic processes, created from and for each subject served". Clinical Philosophy, according to Packter, "works from the different traditions of Western philosophy towards existential questions" or - in other words - "uses the knowledge of philosophy for a person's life". In Clinical Philosophy there are no concepts of disease, typology and pathology, but rather different ways of existing, with representations of the world that give rise to unique ways of existence. And that is why in Clinical Philosophy there are no “cures”, but care that helps resolve the person’s existential issues (structural shocks). It operates through different philosophical currents, with a predominance of Phenomenology, Language Analytics and Structuralism and, with the assimilation of Formal Logicism, Epistemology, and Historicity. It was initially published and implemented by the Packter Institute, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, which offers courses to train "clinical philosophers" (therapists) or "specialists in clinical philosophy". In 2008, with a large number of training centers across the country, the National Association of Clinical Philosophers (ANFIC) was created to aggregate and defend the interests of "clinical philosophers'', taking care of ethical aspects and supporting the autonomous activities of training centers. There are currently training centers in several states in Brazil, in addition to teaching activities and individual assistance, there are centers specializing in hospital care, professional groups and business consultancy.
